Reliable & Extended Lifetime for Circular and Modular Battery Electric Vehicles
To achieve the EU Green Deal’s 2030 and 2050 climate objectives, Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) need to become more durable, cost-effective, and resource-efficient. Bringing together 10 partners from 6 EU countries, RELiVE is developing a modular, circular, and intelligent ePowertrain platform designed to extend BEV lifetime by at least 50% beyond the current state of the art. The project integrates advanced eDrive and battery pack technologies with predictive real-time health monitoring and digital product passports, enabling full traceability, easier repair, and component reuse through a user-centered approach. By delivering sustainable, affordable, and long-lasting BEVs, RELiVE directly supports the 2ZERO Partnership and contributes to the EU’s transition to clean, inclusive, and resource-efficient mobility.
