Energy-efficient VEhicle Range Enhancement through Smart Thermal design and user-centric solutions
EVEREST contributes to the objectives of the CL5-2025-04-D5-05 topic by developing and validating innovative, user-focused, and affordable thermal and energy management solutions for battery-electric LDVs and LCVs. The project aims to preserve driving range in extreme weather conditions while ensuring personalised thermal comfort and understanding user behaviour, needs, and acceptance thresholds. Through predictive AI-driven control strategies and smart energy management, EVEREST targets a 30% reduction in climate-related range loss compared to current technologies, alongside a 10% decrease in overall energy consumption.
