Martin Russ, Managing Director at AustriaTech
Martin Russ has been Managing Director of AustriaTech since 2011 and has more than 25 years of expertise in the field of transport planning and mobility technologies. He is the visionary heart of the company. Under his leadership, AustriaTech's remit has been expanded to include activities on automated and clean mobility, and the topic of mobility in an urban context has been added to the company's portfolio. Since July 2019, he has been a member of the Mission Board for Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities within the Horizon Europe research programme.

Janez Potočnik, Co-Chair of the International Resource Panel, Partner at SYSTEMIQ and former
European Commissioner for the Environment
Dr Janez Potočnik (1958) graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. He started as a researcher at the Institute of Economic Research (1989) and was nominated for a Director of the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development in 1994. He was appointed Head of Negotiating Team for Accession of Slovenia to the EU (1998). He also served as Minister responsible for European Affairs (2002). In 2004 he joined the European Commission as Commissioner responsible for Science and Research. In 2010 he became Commissioner for Environment. After the mandate he was appointed as a Co-Chair of UNEP Environment International Resource Panel. He is Partner in SYSTEMIQ and Special Advisor to Commissioner for Environment Virginijus Sinkevičius.
