The main goal of the PANDA project is to provide unified organisations of digital models for seamless integration in virtual and real testing of all types of electrified vehicles and their components.
11 Organisations from 7 different EU countries work together to reduce the development time (time-to-market) by 20% through standardization of the model/simulation, thereby enabling:
1) easy reuse of models for different tasks and;
2) a reduction of the real testing of subsystems by virtual seamless testing.
PANDA intends to play a leading role in the development of software tools and methods for improving the virtual generation of new products, new technologies and of integrating virtual development to supports the complete generation of new electrified vehicles.
PANDA is fully compatible with existing state-of-the-art methods such as Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) simulations. HiL simulation is used to test components or systems by simulating the controlled equipment/plant (in real-time) in a virtual environment and directly interfacing it with a real controller system.
