Task Force Logistics

Sustainable goods and services delivery is a key part of an efficient transportation system. Achieving multimodal freight transport and setting up innovative distribution concepts involve research efforts in a number of areas ranging from the transport means used (e.g. use of electric vehicles, low-emission urban trucks, including new vehicles like cargo bikes) over optimising fleet management in terms of scheduling and fleet composition to route planning across different modes or the establishment of innovative city logistics concepts or intermodal terminals near cities.
