Overview



 

 

EARPA is functioning thanks to its members' annual contributions and is composed of three main bodies:

  • First, the General Assembly, in which all members are participating, governs the Association.
  • Second, the Executive Board, to which the management of the association is delegated, initiates activities and carries out the representative tasks.
    Mr. Affenzeller (AVL) as President of this board is also EARPA Chairman.
  • Third, the EARPA Secretariat, which supports the Board and the General Assembly, is present in Brussels. The EARPA Secretary-General is Ms. Attané.

 

General Assembly

The General Meeting of the Members governs the Association: so called General Assembly. Full and associated members are entitled to vote and to elect the members of the Executive Board to which the management of the association has been delegated.

Every year the EARPA General Assembly takes place in March in Brussels. This General Assembly is followed by a reception, which is open to the public.

Executive Board

The Executive Board carries out the representative tasks with the support of the Secretariat. Mr. Affenzeller (AVL) as President of this board is also EARPA Chairman.

The Executive Board is composed of the following members:

Task Forces

While the Board members are taking care of the “Information & Influence” with the help of the Secretariat acting as the main information exchange platform, the Task Forces are focusing on answering specific needs identified by EARPA members (e.g. technical discussions, EU projects creation, etc.) or identified by the actual effort of EARPA in terms of influence & information (e.g. discussion on EU RTD Policy).

At this moment , the following Task Forces are running:

  1. Safety
  2. Materials, Design and Production
  3. Noise, Vibrations & Harshness
  4. Modelling & Simulation
  5. Advanced Combustion Engines and Fuels
  6. Hybrid and Electric Systems and Components
  7. Urban Mobility
  8. Electronic and Communication Systems
  9. Project Management

Participants to those Task Forces are relevant experts coming from within EARPA members organisations.

Secretariat
